Thank you both for the opportunity to talk last week and understand more about your business. It’s an exciting time, and we’re glad to hear about all the possibilities. Below you’ll find our summary of your needs and our recommendations.
Image Projection is in immediate need of marketing support, in order to:
(1) Build a first class website that will:
Give the brand credibility
Provide information and showcase products
Work responsively across all devices
Make it easy to engage with the business
Offer e-Commerce later
Everyone recognizes that the current website is outdated; work has begun on an updated version, but this still has limitations.
On the positive side, the site is built in WordPress, which was an excellent choice for integration and future proofing. We may recommend a fresh build out. Let’s develop something first class straight out of the gate. It won’t add time; adapting a pre-built site is more time consuming.
(2) Establish a marketing function for the future
Image Projection needs a marketing team that can work with the business, becoming a key weapon in revenue generation. E-Commerce, automation and digital marketing are all elements of interest going forward.
While current thinking leans toward a local employee sitting in-house and constantly available, we suggest you consider the advantages of outsourcing marketing to an agency. This will get you all the skills you need that a single hire will never have. The skills you need include:

Graphic Design
Advertising
Copy Writing
Web Design & Development
Hiring also means taking on the on-costs of a direct hire, and you live with the constant threat that they will get another job, or simply not work out for a variety of very human reasons. An agency protects you from this; we’re there until you don’t want us to be.
180 Day Project
We propose a fixed term 180 day project. It may seem like a long time, but it will go by very quickly. At the end of this period, this project will accomplish the following:
Website finished and signed off
Social Media set up
Plan for e-Commerce platform proposed and costed
Digital designs for advertising cmpaign delivered
Marketing Strategy proposed for next 12 months
The 6 month project will cost $8,400 per month, payable in advance each month with no commitment to continue beyond the month you have paid for. (If you don’t like what you see, walk away at any time with no further cost.)
At the end of 6 months, if you see the potential for a long term relationship, we will continue based on what we agree at that point. Again, no commitments.
Other Options & Advice
There are other possibilities to consider. You could hire a permanent member of staff. While there are the issues we’ve mentioned, there is a benefit to someone who’s in your office and constantly available. Andres can help you find someone.
You could also look for an offshore option. These can work out great if you can find the right one, but ultimately it’s very hit and miss and working relationships can be difficult. Obviously you will significantly decrease costs that way.
Overall, we’d recommend moving forward pretty quickly if you can. Your current set up is probably hurting the business more than you realize.
